Grace's 3rd Birthday

Charlotte's friend, Grace, turned 3 this month, and I was asked to make a cake for her. Grace wanted a number 3 and a green cake!

I had some icing left over, so baked some cupcakes, and surprised them with these!

Mother's Day Cupcakes

We had Jaida's Birthday party on Mother's Day, so decided to make some pretty cupcakes for the Mums :)

Jaida's 1st Birthday

I decided to make Jaida a number 1 cake, as that is what I made for Charlotte's 1st Birthday. Jaida loved In The Night Garden, so that is the theme I chose.

Jaida's 1st Birthday Cake Smash

I did a cake smash session with Jaida for her 1st Birthday and used the photos for her Birthday party invitation. I just did a very simple buttercream iced sponge - Jaida loved it! It was lots of fun, and I got quite a few good snaps!

Snickerdoodles

Snickerdoodles

250g butter
1 tps vanilla
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup caster sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon bicarb soda
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon caster sugar, extra
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Beat butter, sugars ad vanilla in small bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating until just combined. Transfer to large bowl.

Stir combined sifted flour, soda and nutmeg, in two batches, into egg mixture. Cover, refrigerate dough for 30 mins (dough is too sticky to roll straight away).

Meanwhile, preheat oven to moderate.

Combine extra caster sugar and cinnamon in small shallow bowl. Roll level tablespoons of the dough into balls; roll balls in cinnamon sugar. Place balls on ungreased oven trays, 7cm apart.

Bake in moderate oven about 12 mins. Cool biscuits on trays.

TIP: Once biscuits have cooled enough to handle, coat them in the cinnamon sugar again - even yummier!!!
